Guptar Ghat

So here i start with the first attraction of Faizabad..

The sacred ghat on the bank of River Saryu is believed to be the spot where Lord Ram performed Jal Samadhi. An array of well maintained ghats, it was constructed by King Darshan Singh in the early 19th century. One can also visit Ram Janaki Temple, Old Charan Paduka Temple, Narsingh Temple and Hanuman Temple on the ghat.The Guptar Ghat has been constructed to provide worshipers to take a holy dip in River Saryu as well as perform the prayers as they wished. The Ghat has steps that lead to the river bed and the steps immersed in water have been deliberately widened to afford a wide area for the pilgrims. The Ghat also houses the famous Chakra Harji Vishnu Temple And The Raja Mandir. Lord Ram is believed to have entered the temple and vanished or disappeared (Gupt) hence the name given to the Ghat.
Beside it is a famous garden of Faizabad known as Company Garden.
